Intensive Outpatient (IOP) in Mechanicsburg, PA
Arkview’s intensive outpatient program runs three days a week at our Mechanicsburg campus, with morning and evening tracks. You can keep working or studying while you treat substance use.
What Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Involves
Intensive outpatient provides structured group and individual treatment about three hours a day, three days a week, typically for 4 to 12 weeks. Morning and evening tracks exist so the program fits around a job or school rather than replacing it. It suits people stepping down from a higher level of care. It also suits people whose use never required residential treatment but needs more than a weekly session.
Is Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Right for You?
If this describes where you are, intensive outpatient may be enough structure without stepping away from your life. Let us assess it. Call (717) 744-0756.
A Day in Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Sessions run about three hours, three days a week, in either a morning or evening track. Content covers relapse prevention, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy skills and process groups. Individual therapy is scheduled alongside. Medication-assisted treatment continues where it is part of your plan.
Where Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Fits in Your Care
Intensive outpatient usually follows partial hospitalization or residential, and steps down into aftercare and the alumni program. Some people enter directly when weekly therapy is not enough. If your circumstances change, stepping back up to partial hospitalization happens on the same campus.
